Don't spit into the wind...

I am hoping that you folks could guess what song the title is from.

It makes me think of when my friend came into my martial arts class 30 years ago, give or take a few years, came into class with a black eye. She is a petite girl, blonde, very pretty. We were all taken aback by this, in the martial arts class. My instructor approached her and asked her what went on to cause this? She responded that her boyfriend punched her in the face.

This kid also worked in the gym we all belong in, and took the martial arts classes there. Anyway, I understand why she would still be dating this guy. But as I understand it, people with lower self-esteem perpetuate relationships. Moving along, my instructor gave her tips in case this happened again, and spoke with the kid. I personally gave her the tip to strike using her first two knuckles, then followed immediately in the same movement by her elbow, then thrusting with the same elbow on the way back of her swing continuously.

The next class, she came backbruises on her elbow in her fist. When approached, she said her boyfriend will not be at the gym today, as he was suffered worse as a result of their actions.
I was very proud of her courage, and I said to myself, "you don't tug on Superman's cape, or spit into the wind, you don't pull on the mask of the Lone Ranger, and you don't mess around with Jim [my].

To me unprovoked violence is not tolerated against any person, much less a female. Lets just call her Beth, seeking a personal injury attorney, as she got into an accident suffering an elbow injury. She has two children and has been married for years and I referred her to someone who is a top notch personal injury attorney and a good friend who took care, let's just call him Ant, who got her a great settlement, often gets the results against insurance companies, as I often say, "cheese grates their face against the asphalt."
End of story. More later…

I do believe the hottie in question never threw in the towel. Perhaps like the girl with the guy with the dragon tattoo. 3 Classic references here.

    1. Mr. McCoy,
I never saw the Daniel Craig new with the Dragon tattoo, but I saw the original, all three of the European ones, I love them, and I cannot imagine the American version will be better, or is graphic as a European one. Your thoughts.

As for the dragon tattoo, read the book and saw the Craig version of the movie--It left out quite a bit. Reference was to the girl being with the guy with the dragon tattoo (way before the books were written). I agree though, Craig movie could have used a little Quentin Tarantino bringing out the Gimp.

  2. Hitting a woman. Ridiculous. That fella needs to be castrated with a rusty razor blade.

Boys and girls - a word of advice - never hit your old lady.

  3. Jimmy,

I do like your Croce quote - although the only cape I'm pulling belongs to George Costanza's father's laywer.

I'm still not sure what the hell he was doin' with that cape on.

A little less than 240 days before Festivus.

    1. Good catch on the quote, and great reference to Seinfeld, a big fan of the show and I've watched every episode.
